The StarCraft 2 campaign storyline takes place four years after StarCraft: Brood War. Many characters from the original have returned; including Zeratul, Arcturus Mengsk, Artanis, Sarah Kerrigan, and Jim Raynor. Also many worlds from the original will be a part of the sequel, like Char, Mar Sara, and Braxis; as well as new worlds, such as the jungle planet Bel’Shir. Once again the Protoss, Terran, and Zerg will do battle across the galaxy in the game StarCraft 2, as each faction struggles for survival.

Experienced and new gamers alike will appreciate the simple yet highly enjoyable gameplay. The game StarCraft 2 is much faster than the original. Resource gathering, building, researching and expanding all go faster now. This is something that will appeal to most.The factions are well balanced and the units perfectly valued. You gather minerals and vespene gas, you build your defenses, you upgrade, you expand, you gather your forces and send your troops in to unleash hell. Repeat as needed until satisfied.

The Cons
Visually the game is stunning and has incredible details. The story moves along nicely with the use of video in the single player mode. But as with most games there are always downfalls. One thing that will frustrate players is that you only get one third of the game. The others two parts will be released later most likely with an equal price tag attached. Something else that proves to be frustrating is the security feature placed on the product. This game is locked down tight. You have to activate the game with a security code and every thirty days you have to re-activate the game. If you can get past these inconveniences then you will be sure to enjoy the game. This is one game that was definitely worth the wait.

I have spent most of my free time for the last week playing this game. It’s got all that you would expect in an RTS. Difficulty levels and achievements make replay a necessity. Fun!
